Disclaimer: This post is about the sport of boxing. This is not my usual post about writing or the horror genre but I am going to say it all anyways because it’s my site and I feel strongly about this and need to vent. I love boxing. Hell, my mother loves boxing, and tonight, we saw a crime committed. So I’ll make this post quick and to the point. It is my personal view of what went down with the Manny Pacquiao – Tim Bradley fight and what I believe to be the truth. And if it isn’t the truth, so what, they’re my views.
So here it goes.
It was rigged. Pacquiao was robbed. He was set up by Bob Arum so that Bob could make a killing on a rematch. Even Tim Bradley was stunned and confused by his magical win. Rigged and fake. Pacman outpunched Bradley, out landed and won every round except, perhaps, a couple.
And he lost the match.
Doesn’t make sense. It does not add up. Two of the three judges had Bradley 115-113 and only one judge had Pacman 115-113. How can two judges be so blind? Tim Bradley even questioned his own win over Pacman, said he had to go home and re-watch the tape to see if he truly won and that he didn’t feel satisfied.
The crowd booed.
My mom booed.
The audience and world saw him as the clear winner. Yet two of the three judges decided that they didn’t see Pacman punch Bradley a gazillion times?
No, it was rigged.
Don’t get me wrong, I never heard of Bradley before but I give him credit for standing toe to toe with a true world champion. But Pacman was not fighting at full force. He would have eaten him alive if it wasn’t for the strange way he was acting. Pacman seemed to intentionally wait 2 minutes and then fight at the end of the rounds. Even with this in mind, he STILL outgunned and out landed Bradley. He didn’t even try and still won (at least me and everyone else in the world seemed to think so.)
This unknown guy goes twelve rounds with the great Manny Pacquiao and wins in a split decision?
No, I don’t think so. It was rigged.
Almost all of Bradley’s punches hit Manny’s gloves. It tickled. Bradley isn’t a real champion, not yet anyways. Coto, Marquez, sure, but not this Bradley dude. I barely heard of him till the fight with Pacman.
Let us play the Maybe game.
Maybe Manny was forced to lose, that’s why he only fought in the last min of the rounds. Maybe that’s why he smiled a “What ever” when he heard the decision, maybe that is why he was distracted before the fight? Everything from the start of the PPV program stank of dead fish and sour ass. A boring undercard of an opener where nothing happened till the last rounds (The knockout was sweet, though), and then Jorge Arce was hurt bad by a series of low blows and the fight stopped in the second round, and Arce isn’t the kind of guy to throw fights or complain! And it got weirder as Manny stated he wanted to fight after the Heats – Celtics basketball game! Not like him at all.
So everyone waited.
And waited some more.
Then, Manny disappeared and was found later stretching his calf’s…
The guy was acting weird. You could just tell something was bothering him. Us fiction writers know a thing or two about plot holes and Manny’s hole was deep and craggy.
Was he delaying the inevitable? Giving himself time to think about what he maybe already knew? That the fight was rigged and he couldn’t stop it?
Perhaps he knew something was wrong but couldn’t speak out against anyone, possibly for fear of death. He does have his family to think about.
Let us play the maybe game one last time.
Maybe Mayweather paid a fortune to get Bradley the belt so that he never has to fight Pacman? Maybe it was The Philippians government, seeking revenge for the back taxes Pacman owes them or maybe it’s something more insidious than that. Maybe aliens body snatched the Nevada Boxing Commission.
All of these scenarios are plausible. Crazy? Sure, some of them are. But I am not saying anything that no one else is already thinking.
Well, except for the aliens part, but, stranger things have happened.
I can tell you one thing I know for sure… Bob Arum and Top Rank either instigated the decision tonight or had some involvement. Allow me to paraphrase Bob and his remarks tonight, “I’m gonna make a shit load of money on the Pacman – Bradley rematch… oh, and I’m upset at the decision.”
Since I am an American and proud of it I cannot stand by idly and watch a victory taken away from the better man. I speak out because I am not afraid and here is what I truly have to say to Bob Arum and Top Rank:
Top rank snakes, I spit on you. Low life, untruthful and shameful. You have turned Boxing into a laughing stock with your lies! Bob, when you are on your death bed, you will regret your life and wallow in your tears and money, you old fool. You were never a true champion of the sport of Boxing and were only in it for the money. Your life was false and debased of honor and you shall never lay in the fields of Elysian with true warriors and heroes but under their feet, writhing and slithering in the dirt where you belong.
And as for all the people who got paid to look the other way and helped Pacman get robbed, you all have no integrity and are, in fact, less than human. May you breed in your own filth, scumdogs!
Bob, you have had this scolding coming for a long, long time. To learn more about Bob Arum and his legacy of corruption, click here, or Google him.
I am speaking out for Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao because OBVIOUSLY he cannot speak for himself either because he is too polite and classy or he is being coerced. People will know the truth and it will come out.
Boycott Top Rank Boxing!
Phew… there. All said and done. I feel much better, thanks for reading. That about wraps it up for my sports commentary for, oh, I don’t know, the next decade.
Now back to our regularly scheduled horror business, already in progress.
