As I sit here and drink my coffee, eat my breakfast and watch the rose parade, I think back to last year and how uneventful it was for me. Even Halloween sucked and that has NEVER happened. I was aloof and lack luster, finding little joy in anything and everything. And then in December, I sprain my ankle. Ugh.
But it’s a new year, eh? So lets start this off right.
Just some short, simple and spooky links.
Scary screams… er, streams with SCREAMBOX
I have been a monthly member of scream box for a little over a year now and they are still adding new movies to it’s roster. SB is the Netflix of horror, with multiple categories to choose from, plenty of movies (some of them that I never seen before), and now streaming on Xbox One, PS4, Roku, and all smartphones. With all these streaming options available and at $3.99 a month, I have found it worth the money. Plus you get a month free! Yup, a killer deal if I ever heard of one.
This house is clean AND mysterious.
HOUSE OF MYSTERIOUS SECRETS is my ultimate place to shop for horror. They got it all, Soundtracks (both on CD and on vinyl), movie posters (my favorite), toys, books, you name it, they have got it. I have ordered from them many times and my office has never looked better! They have awesome customer service too and fast shipping (sometimes free even). Give them a try. You will not be disappointed.
I believe I mentioned this mag before but it is worth another recommendation. Horrorhound is a bi-monthly( every two months) publication that covers the horror genre in all respects (literary, toys, genre news, music, the list goes on.) I have every issue since it started back in 2005, but over the last few years, it has gained popularity (mostly in the mid-west) by hosting its series of horror conventions called Horrorhound Weekends. I wish they would have one over here on the West Coast. Maybe we should start a petition. If you are a fan of horror, or even if you are not, you NEED to have this in your life. Trust me, it will change you.
Welp, there it is. Short and sweet.
Till next time, stay scared.
